About me

I started my career as a teacher, working in mainstream education for many years before moving into the arts sector, firstly as a freelance writer and teacher based in day care centres and then to work for the Arvon Foundation. I left my role as Arvon’s National Director in 2006 to spend my time coaching and writing.

I am a member of the Creativity Coaching Association, an international coaching organisation. I live on the coast in Sussex where I continue my love affair with the sea.

My philosophy – I start from the position that everyone has something to offer, that they can contribute. They need to feel valued, with their abilities recognised and nurtured, by themselves as well as by others. That people need to know that something that is special about them. I would like us as individuals and as a society to start by valuing and respecting people and our environment and by behaving responsibly and with integrity towards both of those.
